Small things, considered.

A small drinkware shop run from the Mission District in San Francisco. Curated, not invented — we work with studios we trust and stand behind their craft.

Our story

Started with one mug. Now twelve pieces.

Northwild started when our founder Alex spent a week in County Wicklow visiting friends and came home with three mugs from a tiny studio in Bray. They got more compliments than anything else in the kitchen for six months straight. The studio agreed to ship a small batch to San Francisco. Forty mugs sold out in two weekends.

From there the shop grew slowly — and deliberately. We've never added a category just to add one. Every piece is chosen because it earned its place: it had to either be measurably better than what was already on the market, or feel like it was made with a level of care most production runs simply can't justify.

Today we work with six independent makers — three in Ireland, two in California, one in Japan — and ship out of a small warehouse in the Mission. Every order is packed by a human. Every email gets a reply from a human. We answer the phone if you call during business hours.

What we believe

Four principles.

Slowly is fine.

Restocks come when our makers say so — not when an algorithm predicts demand. Sometimes that means a wait. That's the trade.

Six makers, not sixty.

We work with a tiny number of independent studios. Long relationships beat broad sourcing every time.

Built to outlast trends.

Everything in the shop is warranted five years. If a piece fails before then for any reason that's our fault, we'll replace it free.

People answer the phone.

No phone trees. No chatbots. Every customer email gets a reply from a real person, usually within four hours.
